In January 2003, ClaimSolution Inc. acquired the IADA offices located in St. Louis, Chicago, and Omaha in hopes of providing superior service as one large regional independent appraisal and adjusting company in the Midwest.
“We handled over 30,000 assignments in 2003,” Mark Snow, CEO of Claim Solution, commented. “The new technology and expansion has allowed us to not only increase the number of assignments and our coverage, but more importantly, we were able to reduce the turnaround time on the assignments thus, providing better service and reducing expenses for the carrier.”
“It is imperative that we keep looking for ways to improve and better serve the carriers,” added Rich Devermann, vice president of industry relations. “One of the best things we did in 2003 was hire Rudy Lehman as CTO. Mr. Lehman designed the original EZImage/Ensera iON Connection software and has been designing software solutions for over 30 years. He is the program/designer of several software packages currently in use in today’s insurance claims market. The completion of his advanced complete claims management system has and will set us apart in our industry.”
According to Chuck Anderson, director of operations, “The larger geographical area has required us to change the way we have done business in the past. Our uniform pricing and zone billing allows us to handle assignments without calling the adjuster in advance for mileage approval. This fee includes all charges and more importantly, the adjuster knows what the charges are before the assignment is made.”
Gerri Durbin oversees the I.T. department and many of the changes have incurred with the utilization of the Internet to make the assignments.
“The assignment page on our Web site, www.claimsolution.com has allowed the adjuster to make the assignment with ease and also receive an immediate acknowledgement of the assignment,” Durbin said. “This has reduced the number of times the assignment has to be handled.”
ClaimSolution, Inc. was founded in 1948 with two adjusters based in Kansas City. ClaimSolution, Inc. now employs more than 70 people servicing 12 states with more expansion to follow in 2004.
