Explosions at a firework factory in Thailand have set off fires at its four warehouses and forced nearby residents to flee.
Workers were not on duty at the factory when it started Tuesday evening. Police Lt. Col. Panachai Satthawut said no casualties were reported.
Panachai said firefighters and rescue workers were able to control the blaze within a few hours. Fireworks that shot out of the factory also started fires in brush nearby.
Residents were told to evacuate homes within 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) of the factory for safety.
The factory is in Saraburi province 116 kilometers (72 miles) northeast of Bangkok.
