Axis International Loss Adjusters and Surveyors has announced the appointment of Nicolas Lazarus as a Senior Insurance and Reinsurance Loss Adjuster.
He “will provide adjusting services to local insurers, Lloyd’s and international Insurers and Reinsurers,” said the bulletin. He will work with Axis’s CEO David Jamison and his team from the company’s headquarters in Miami.
Lazarus has worked within the loss adjusting profession since 1995. He has many years’ experience on a wide range of losses including property, liability and onshore energy risks, as well as catastrophe management throughout Central America and the Caribbean. Originally based in Mexico, where he worked in both technical adjusting and managerial roles, he then relocated to Miami.
Jamison commented:: “Axis has built a strong base of expertise and experience in the Latin American and Caribbean markets. Nicolas brings us a wealth of relevant adjusting skills and local knowledge which is of direct value to the business. His appointment is further evidence of our ongoing commitment and appetite to grow further in these areas.”
He joins Axis from Charles Taylor Adjusting where he worked within the firm’s Property & Casualty Division based in Miami.
