A fire in Millsboro has heavily damaged the Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office announced Saturday night that it is investigating after the blaze damaged the three-story building. The fire was reported early Saturday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
Officials say the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company responded to the blaze and was assisted by fire companies from Georgetown, Indian River and Dagsboro.
State investigators are trying to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $350,000.
