Maine State Police are reminding drivers to be on the lookout for moose on roads especially after dark after six vehicles hit moose in different areas of the state in one night.
Police say six drivers hit moose in different parts of northern Maine Thursday night.
The crashes happened in Connor, Staceyville, Frenchville, Bridgewater and two other areas.
One of the drivers suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. Police say in all the crashes the moose were able to run off into the woods.
Police say a seventh vehicle collided with a deer in Hersey the same night.
