Police say a basket from a hot air balloon fell off a pickup truck and hit three cars last week on an eastern Pennsylvania freeway.
Officials told The (Easton) Express-Times that the accident occurred on Thursday on Interstate 78 in Bethlehem.
Police said the basket was tied in the bed of an Easton man’s pickup but became unsecured and fell out of the back, hitting a car and a van before landing on the hood of another car.
Police said all three vehicles were damaged but not badly enough to keep them from being driven from the scene. One driver had an injury from broken glass but refused treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
