Police say a driver who stopped on Interstate 91 to tell police about a crash caused a four-vehicle accident in Rockingham, Vt.
No one was injured.
Police say the driver stopped around 5 p.m. to tell a state trooper stopped in the breakdown lane about a crash further north. A car behind him was able to stop but police say a second vehicle – a Subaru – did not stop in time and hit the car in front of hers, pushing it into the first vehicle. A tractor trailer then swerved and struck the Subaru.
Police say the first driver may be issued a ticket for stopping in the roadway.
