A Connecticut contractor who helped build a house on the ABC reality TV show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and was charged with arson is suing the builders involved in a charitable project in Griswold.
The Norwich Bulletin reports that Bruce P. Hayn recently sued several companies in the volunteer effort to rebuild a burned house. Hayn says he suffered numerous injuries, some permanent, while on the job.
The lawsuit says that on Nov. 12, 2009, Hayn said builders were assembling pieces of a modular home on the foundation when a section of the roof fell onto his back, crushing him to the ground.
The newspaper said Hayn could not be reached and that his lawyer declined comment.
Hayn is accused of burning down his wood pellet business and is charged with arson.
