The owner of a Vermont computer store that had 22 laptop computers stolen is calling the crime a “professional hit.”
Patrick Brown of Brown Computer Solutions in Brattleboro said the people who broke into his store last Friday were disguised and well organized.
He says they headed directly to a stock closet and took everything.
Police Lt. Michael Carrier said the burglars weren’t in the store long. Officers responded to a burglar alarm and they suspects were gone.
Brown said the $30,000 loss was insured, but he’s still offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The serial numbers of the missing computers have been reported.
The Brattleboro Reformer said police are reviewing surveillance video.
