A Virginia woman claims in a federal lawsuit that the breast implants she received at a Veterans Administration hospital were smaller than the ones she ordered.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that Gwen Haden of Carrollton filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against the U.S. government, seeking $150,000 in damages.
According to the suit filed in U.S. District Court in Norfolk, Haden had breast augmentation surgery at Mike O’Callahan Federal Hospital near Las Vegas in 2009. She claims she was supposed to get 300 cubic centimeter implants, but was told after the surgery that the surgeon inserted 250cc implants overfilled to 270cc.
Haden is married to an Air Force officer. They moved to Virginia after the surgery.
