All idiots blame someone else for their stupidity. A dog, any dog, in the front seat with a driver is a card carrying idiot. What’s more…an idiot driver with a Pit Bull in the front seat should meet the firing squad. How ya gonna keep control of your car when one hand is holding up your pants and the other is pushing the Pit Bull away?
Just think, if this irresponsible dog owner had purchased a travel harness for the dog, he wouldn’t have killed either Fido or the innocent driver in the other car. What an idiot!!

He is 100% negligent and liable. What a tragedy that a man who walked the earth for 70 years, worked hard, and didn’t do stupid things has his life cut short because of this piece of human garbage. The dog being a pit bull has absolutely no role in this. Yes, the dog did, but its Breed has nothing to do with it. If you spoke the way you do about the breed of the dog in a human context, it would be racist and discrimination. Get over the fact that it was a pitpull and understand that someone is dead. The real point of this is in CT there is no law against having an unrestrained dog in the car. Maybe that should be addressed.

I agree. If this was a poodle, everyone would be referring to it as “the dog” instead of “the pit bull.” Pit bulls are wonderful, loyal, and gentle dogs when raised by the right owners. It’s these idiots that train them to fight that give them a bad rep. And the people who believe all they hear about pits are just as ignorant as the people who train them to fight. For all we know, this kid could’ve been smoking a joint when he got in the accident. But the minute everyone hears pit bull, suddenly they believe this guy’s story because the pit MUST have caused it. I say, take responsibility for your own actions and put your dog (pit or poodle) in the back seat where they belong.
