New Jersey officials are trying to determine what’s causing manhole covers to explode in Atlantic City.
No one was injured when two covers exploded on Monday night. One of them was still smoking when firefighters arrived at Atlantic Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
A manhole cover blew off near California Avenue on Sunday night.
The manholes contained electrical equipment.
