Maryland officials say a truck driver died when a granite slab fell on him while he was unloading the stone.
Lt. Stuart Peters says the accident involving the unidentified 41-year-old truck driver occurred about 9:15 a.m. Monday at American Countertop in Hanover. No one else was injured in the accident.
Peters says the accident is being investigated by county police and state workplace safety inspectors.
