A fire at a Maine concrete plant has sent one firefighter to a hospital for treatment.
The fire erupted Thursday afternoon at Genest Concrete in Sanford. More than 30 firefighters worked for hours to bring it under control.
Capt. Paul Morrison says one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. He says the fire started in a processing facility that mixes gravel and sand.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. But the fire isn’t considered suspicious.
