New Hampshire fire investigators are still searching for the cause of a five-alarm fire that tore through a Nashua building that held five apartments and a social club.
More than 100 firefighters from 13 communities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts were called to the Pine Street building early Sunday morning.
Nashua Deputy Fire Chief John Allison says it’s a miracle no one was hurt.
Nashua Fire Marshal Richard Wood says the fire is believed to have started in the basement ceiling and appears to have traveled up through an old dumb waiter shaft.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation it’s not considered suspicious.
It’s unclear how many people were made homeless by the fire.
