A hot-air balloon was forced to make a hard landing at a Vermont festival, slightly injuring its four passengers.
WCAX-TV reports the balloon landed Monday at the Four Seasons Garden Center in Williston. Balloon pilot Mitch Loiselle said the balloon accelerated with the wind coming down the hillside and hit some trees before landing.
The Vermont Balloon Rally otherwise went smoothly otherwise. The launch from the Shelburne Museum was met winds of six miles an hour and gusting stronger at times.
