Fire officials in Maryalnd say a man set his home on fire, causing $21,000 in damage, although his motivation for the arson is not known.
Fifty-nine-year-old Martin Slone has been charged with first-degree arson after fire marshals received a tip and arrested him at his house Wednesday night.
Marshals say he set his house in the 4000 block of Whitelyville Road on fire about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire marshals say the fire started in the attic of the one-story single-family home. No one was injured.
Slone is being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
