A two-alarm fire at Virginia’s Williamsburg Shopping Center has destroyed a restaurant and damaged three other businesses.
Fire Department spokesman Eric Stone says several other businesses were damaged by smoke and water. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
Stone says a citizen passing by the shopping center reported the fire around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
More than 70 firefighters from Williamsburg, James City, York, Newport News and Camp Peary were called on to put out the blaze. A cause hasn’t been determined.
