Belron U.S., a national vehicle glass repair and replacement company, has completed the acquisition of Cindy Rowe Auto Glass of Pennsylvania.
The acquisition was announced in August 2008 and the deal closed Dec. 31.
Founded in 1980 by registered nurse Cindy Rowe, Cindy Rowe Auto Glass has grown from the windshield repair operation that started in the trunk of her Chevrolet Vega to a Harrisburg, Pa.-based company with 12 store locations and 76 employees serving close to 50,000 customers each year.
Cindy Rowe and Dave Taylor, chief operating officer, plan to remain involved for the next three years as consultants for Belron, which is based in Columbus, Ohio. The company is composed of three major business operations that include vehicle glass fulfillment services, operating under the trade names Auto Glass Specialists, Cindy Rowe Auto Glass, Diamond Triumph Glass, Elite Auto Glass and Safelite AutoGlass; windshield manufacturing; and Safelite Solutions which offers fleet and insurance claims management services. .
