Police in New Castle County, Delaware say the historic Ashland covered bridge is closed because of damage from a hit-and-run accident.
Delaware transportation officials are asking anyone who has information about the accident to call county police.
Police say the bridge’s roof was damaged by a vehicle that was larger than the posted size limit. Repairs are expected to be made Monday.
