A worker at a New Jersey funeral home is dead after being crushed by an elevator used to lift coffins.
Police say a fellow worker at the Krowicki-McCracken Funeral Home in Linden found the body of 69-year-old Giorgio Ferrara on Wednesday morning.
Ferrara had worked at the funeral home for nearly 40 years. The elevator that killed him was used to bring up coffins from the basement.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
