Prince George’s County fire officials say a family is displaced after a tree crashed through their Brentwood house as storms moved through the Washington area.
Fire and EMS spokesman Mark Brady says the tree broke through the roof of the house on Allison Street. The house was deemed uninhabitable; four adults and three children living at the home are staying with relatives. There were no injuries.
Rescue workers responded to numerous calls of storm damage in the region.
In Washington, a huge tree fell near 12th and Varnum Streets, N.E., bringing down power lines. Police closed the road to clear it of debris.
