The Delaware state Senate has unanimously approved legislation that would protect returning military personnel from rising car insurance premiums.
Delaware Senator John Still says military service members insured by some companies have come home to much higher rates.
The bill requires companies to offer military personnel at least the same rate structure they had when they left, if they provide proof within 48-hours of being called up to serve their country.
The legislation now awaits action in the House.
