Copart Purchases Central Penn Sales

Copart Inc. is acquiring the salvage pool assets of Central Penn Sales LLC, a vehicle salvage disposal company with four sites located in York Haven, Chambersburg, and Altoona in the state of Pennsylvania and Salisbury in the state of Maryland.

These sites total 255 acres and increase Copart’s total locations throughout the United States and Canada to 124. Copart expects the transaction to close on Nov. 11, 2005.

Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles, principally to licensed dismantlers, rebuilders and used vehicle dealers, through Internet sales utilizing its proprietary VB2 technology.
