Crisis Management, a new service that shows organizations how to create a detailed response plan for all types of crises, including fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, medical emergencies, chemical spills and terrorist attacks, has been introduced by Bowman Specialty Services, LLC, a division of E.G. Bowman Company, Inc.
The service covers emergency evacuation, creating the crisis-management team, defining the organization’s needs, assessing vulnerabilities, developing general and event-specific plans, and writing, coordinating and testing the plan.
The program, which is being presented by Bowman’s team of professional safety engineers, is available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania.
“September 11 showed that you must have a solid crisis-management plan and be able to evacuate an entire building quickly,” said Harry Nolan, a loss-control consultant with Bowman Specialty Services. “And you also need plans to address events ranging from minor emergencies like quickly controlled fires to catastrophes that could potentially cause mass casualties.”
