Authorities say four firefighters were injured when the roof of a converted garage collapsed during a fire in Compton.
Compton Fire Battalion Chief Vincent Capelle said Sunday that more than a dozen firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Capelle says two firefighters were on top of the roof when it collapsed, crushing two firefighters who were underneath.
Capelle says the firefighters were transported to a nearby hospital with minor to moderate injuries and have since been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Capelle says no one else was injured.
