Hundreds of people turned out at Mountain Shadows Park on Saturday for the dedication of memorials remembering the 2012 Waldo Canyon wildfire near Colorado Springs.

The memorials include hiking trails dedicated to two people who died in the fire and others affected by the devastating blaze. A sculpture and park represent rebirth and renewal for the community.
Bill and Barbara Everett died in the fire that destroyed 347 homes and burned 18,000 acres. It was one of the most destructive wildfires in state history.
