A woman who says she hurt her back after slipping on a greasy spot at a Safeway store in Sandy has filed a lawsuit against the grocery chain.
The Oregonian newspaper reports that Tammy Hadley seeks at least $30,000 for medical expenses and $250,000 for pain and suffering
The lawsuit filed in Clackamas County states that Hadley wrenched her back after slipping near the deli department in August 2012.
Safeway faces at least two other lawsuits filed in Clackamas County Circuit Court. A man seeks $50,000 because he slipped on an icy sidewalk at the Milwaukie store, and a woman wants $108,000 because she sliced a finger while reaching for a juice bottle at the Hood River Safeway.
