IFG Companies has announced that C. Gregory Roblek has joined as a managing director — Property.
In that role, Roblek will participate in the opening of a new IFG office in the Los Angeles area, and will be responsible for developing initiatives to produce a profitable and expanding book of business, while managing an underwriting team to support those initiatives.
He joins IFG Companies from Argo Group, where he managed an admitted book of U.S. property business, while developing underwriting guidelines and property catastrophe strategies for aggregate and PML exposure management.
Previously, Roblek was a managing director with Travelers Insurance Company, where he led the Southern California Unit for Travelers’ National Property business. Prior to this he was a vice president and property practice leader and department manager for Marsh Risk and Insurance Services and was an assistant vice president and client advisor in Risk Management for Marsh.
Before working at Marsh, Roblek spent over twelve years in various underwriting and business development roles with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. He began his career in the Highly Protected Risk Department at Kemper National Insurance Company.
