Prescott, Ariz., police say a car driven by a man who recently had a leg amputated crashed into the front wall of a tavern.
Two employees were the only people inside the business when the accident occurred Wednesday morning, and no injuries were reported.
Police Sgt. Nathan Barton told The Daily Courier that the 66-year-old driver from Prescott Valley had his right leg amputated and accidentally pushed the wrong pedal with his left foot.
The car accelerated through a parking lot outside before hitting Donna’s Hut lounge.
According to Barto, says the officer at the scene found no signs of impairment.
Barto said police did not cite the driver for any infractions but that the driver will have to be re-evaluated for his ability to drive.
