Officials say a blaze blamed on illegal fireworks has destroyed a southeast Portland, Ore., home.
Portland Fire and Rescue says the fire occurred late Friday night and was one of several in the city caused by illegal fireworks.
Officials say an investigator determined that an aerial firework had landed on a rear awning and ignited the blaze.
As firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, officials issued illegal fireworks citations around the neighborhood, and were trying to determine if the person responsible for the fire had been cited.
A Fire and Rescue news release says the home was a total loss. There were no reports of any injuries.
