Idaho Falls Gets Mini Ambulance

The Idaho Falls Fire Department has obtained a mini-ambulance for reaching injured patients in difficult locations.

The Post Register reports in a story on Thursday that the 2014 MedState MS 500 Off-Road mini-ambulance can hold a patient, two attendants and a driver.

Emergency Medical Services Division Chief Scott Long says the vehicle can be used for events where there is limited access to roads.

The Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security paid for the $55,000 ambulance.

Mountain View Hospital paid for the $6,000 trailer and $1,500 in decals.
