Honeywell Inc. is donating more than $250,000 to volunteer fire departments that helped battle wildfires in Colorado this summer.
According to KKTV-TV, the money was donated by Honeywell employees worldwide and was matched by the company on Wednesday.
Six volunteer departments will receive new personal protection equipment and another six will get cash donations.
The fire departments included in the donation include Cascade, Crystal Park, Palmer Lake, Simla, Ellicott, Calhan, Stratmoor Hills, Divide, El Paso County Sheriff Wildland Fire, Green Mountain Falls, Manitou Springs and Black Forest.
