A University of Idaho student who suffered injuries after falling at a fraternity has filed a lawsuit against a national fraternal organization seeking money to pay medical costs of more than $10,000, plus other damages.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports that Krysta Huft filed the lawsuit Friday against the Delta Chi house.
Huft contends that in April 2011 the Idaho chapter of the fraternity was negligent in providing her with beer and vodka despite her being under age. She says that contributed to her falling from a third-story sleeping porch and waking up on a basketball court below the window.
But the Moscow Police Department says its investigation found Huft didn’t fall out a window but from an upper bunk bed to the floor, breaking her pelvis.
