The Mount Vernon Fire Department, in Wash., says a church fire early Sunday was arson.
The fire damaged the sanctuary, kitchen and a storage area at Trinity Lutheran Church, but the structure remains intact.
KBRC reports the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the FBI are helping with the investigation.
