Federal regulators are investigating an accident that killed a worker at a Salt Lake City manufacturing plant.
Salt Lake City fire spokesman Scott Freitag says 34-year-old Inoke Langi was killed Friday at Cambelt International Corp., which makes conveyer belts.
He says Langi’s torso was crushed when a piece of machinery collapsed him, and it’s unknown why the machinery moved while he was underneath it.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the 1 p.m. accident.
