Firefighters say clutter in a Hazel Dell, Wash., home fed a blaze and made their work more difficult.
Two grandparents and children 8 and 9 years old escaped without injury Monday evening as the fire went to two alarms.
Clark County Fire District 6 says the fire started in a back bedroom on the second story of the split-level home and flames spread into the attic and through the roof.
Cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $325,000.
