Police say a teenager was hospitalized with internal chest injuries after falling from a fire escape at a fraternity house on the University of Idaho campus.
Moscow Police Chief David Duke says the 19-year-old was climbing a fire escape ladder at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house on Saturday when he slipped and fell 15 to 25 feet. He was found semi-unconscious.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports that the teen was transported to a nearby hospital with a broken wrist and internal chest injuries before being airlifted to a medical facility in Spokane, Wash.
Authorities have not yet identified the teenager, who is from Sandpoint and a member of the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the fall.
