Police say they’re checking out leads but have no specific suspects in two small fires set in a hotel under construction in Auburn.
Cmdr. Mike Hirman says firefighters extinguished arsons early Saturday and Sunday evening on the third and fourth floors of an unfinished La Quinta Inn.
He says damage from smoke and charring is likely to run into the tens of thousands of dollars.
The building is nearing completing and has a sprinkler system, but it’s not yet charged with water.
