Republic Airways Holdings chief executive Bryan Bedford says a hail storm last week cost Frontier Airlines an estimated $10 million.
The airline was already struggling with financial problems, but Bedford said the company is still on the road to recovery, according to KMGH-TV.
The airline canceled eight flights on Wednesday, and airline officials are warning of more cancellations on Thursday and Friday. The airline expects to return to normal operations by Saturday.
The hail storm at Frontier’s main hub damaged 18 of the airline’s 59 large Airbus planes.
