Man Drowns After Jumping from Hawaii Waterfall

A 35-year-old man from southern California has drowned at a Kauai waterfall.

The Kauai Fire Department says the man from Irvine jumped off the top of Kipu Falls Sunday afternoon.

He was swimming toward the shore when he went underwater and did not resurface.

Rescuers found his body at the bottom of the pool.

His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
