Five workers were treated for injuries after a steel wall in an Oroville (Calif.) Dam tunnel collapsed, shutting down water flow and electricity generation at the site.
The Department of Water Resources says four workers received minor injuries and one of them moderate injuries when a 10-foot bulkhead collapsed during routine tests on a valve in a water tunnel.
Department spokeswoman Susan Sims said the workers were in a diversion tunnel that connects the dam and the powerhouse.
All five workers were treated and none of their injuries were considered life threatening.
Oroville is the second-largest reservoir in California.
