Orgon State health officials said there’s no evidence that children in the Salem-Keizer school district are being harmed by fire-damaged buses.
A December 2006 fire destroyed seven buses and heavily damaged five others at the district’s garage. District officials said the damaged buses were put back on the road after they were cleaned and tested for toxins.
An investigation began after drivers complained of nausea, headaches, burning throats and difficulty breathing.
The school district has received no reports of health problems involving children.
