I’m a working mother of 2, I attended BCTI in 2003 when I was pregnant with my youngest child. I worked full time, while going to school 5hrs a day to better my family, and BCTI has gotten me nowhere, I still work in Fast Food, i still make a little over min wage. BCTI got me for $11,000, the last 4 years tax returns, this was money i worked hard for day and night at a fast food restaurant. I just read this article and was disturbed to find this:
Former students who did not join the lawsuit cannot collect on the settlement.

    http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/education/story/246201.html

BCTI destroyed all their records so we were never informed of any pending lawsuits, if i would’ve known i would’ve joined in the lawsuit. When I saw the article online in the Tacoma Tribune in December of 2007, I called and left all my info with PCVK Law Firm (Heather) and never heard anything back. If anyone knows how i can reclaim some of my hard earned money please let me know. crystelmarie@hotmail.com

i have just recently learned of the lawsuit that was against bcti and when i contacted the lawyers office in tacoma who was handling the case i never recieved an email or a phone call from them on how to get involved. Reading some of the comments from other websites on the matter reveal that the students who did not get involved in the beginning are to late to recieve a compinsation from the lawsuit. On one website it said that only 46 student were actually notified of the lawsuit which i never recieved anything in the mail about it. All i want is the 10,000 dollars back which the government has been taking out of my tax returns for the last 5 years.

I went to BCTI I was told my loan was paid for Now they are taking all my tax returns to pay for the classes, as well as giving me bad credit, as of today I can not apply for collage grants, until This loan is taken care of. Can you tell me to what action I can take and who I can go to, to have this matter taken care of.

why weren’t all of the students contacted I have been stuck with a federal loan since 1997 for an education that I never got.
I have been arguing with the Department of education since i found out that they took the money and gave me the bill after I withdrew after a car accident in 97 they told me they would take care of it oh yeah they did now the government has taken double the amount of what they took and keep telling me that to bad its you debt you have to pay it.

How do we get ahold of the lawyers for this lawsuit?

wow was i surprised to see this just as I am enrolling in my fourth school since BCTI. What a joke that school was. They promised to let you back through the program at any time to stay in touch with the technology but what they were teaching us wasn’t up to date as is. How sad. I went to the Everett Mall Way campus in 1992. I believe you would find me under the student name Deanna Prokop.
