Your comments are exactly what\’s wrong with the anti 42 croud. You say alot about nothing. Just like the commercials we\’re seeing, you don\’t say why bad credit = bad driver. You are just desperately glad that good credit = discount. I feel sorry for you. You\’re the type of person that would be happy to escape a natural disaster with no cuts or scrapes while 1000 people died. How do you even know who is credit challenged and who is not in regards to these posts? You don\’t. Because of bad grammar? That\’s typically the problem with your type. You draw conclusions based on your own lack of knowledge.

My credit has more to do with over picky employers not willing to give a guy with a trendelenburg gait a job. Than my work ethic,or my skill sets. I\’ve been a security gaurd, a live in companion caregiver with a state providers number, and if my legs were good I could run for sheriff my backgrounds that good. I drive coast to coast alone without trouble alone.
The measure is more about folks that have it made, putting more fiscal oppression on those on folks struggling to make ends meet. Some of them could be fighting for your poor misrable butt\’s in foreign countries. So go ahead shoot yourself in the foot.

Good credit doesn\’t have to do with who is willing to give a job – it has to do with personal responsibility. I am one of those poor folks who spent 23 years in the US military and after all that I have good credit. I learned, later in life, is that it isn\’t how much you have it is how you handle what you have. Good credit is the sign of a responsible person, not an indication of your wealth. There are doctors and lawyers out there who default on loans (especially college loans) and those items on a credit report don\’t add up to a great score. But paying your bills on time and not overextending your credit do get good scores.

Granted, there are folks who get hit with unexpected major medical bills and other catastrophes, but there is no way you will ever convince me that the folks with bad credit all have that excuse. I know enough of the folks with bad credit to know that spending more than you make, insisting on the big screen TV and being on food stamps all make for low credit scores.

Garrett – Have you been asleep at the switch during all this. Statistically, people with good credit tend to have better driving records. You may try to say there is no corelation, but give it a reasonable thought. Those with good credit are making intelligent decisions about how to manage their money and that reasonableness carries over to other parts of their life.

Take a look at the economic status of most of the folks in jails – bet they didn\’t have good credit – and probably weren\’t the best of drivers either. Your entire life style tends to be consistent. Good credit PROBABLY equals good driving record, good upkeep of your car and home.
