At the recent Applied Systems Client Network’s 18th Annual TENCon -technology, education and networking conference, Washington-based Unigard Insurance Company was one of only 15 companies recognized with ASCnet’s new Interface Best Practices Award for real-time interface achievement.
“We were thrilled to receive this accolade,” said L. Arnold Chatterton, Unigard vice president of Marketing and Agency Management. “It affirms the ability of a hands-on regional company to respond quickly and effectively to the requirements of its agents. Unigard has now added Claims Inquiry to the original Billing Inquiry programs for use with Applied Systems agency management systems as promised at the beginning of the year when we announced that Unigard had secured licensing rights to Transformation Station™. Unigard still firmly believes that our prime objective should be to strengthen the integrated management systems used by our agents by building on the ACORD open standard.”
Next on the agenda is First Notice of Loss. Chatterton confirms that Unigard’s vision of an agent-focused application of electronic standards still holds.
“Our agents are looking for access to real time rating and processing of new and renewal business through their own management systems. Satisfying their needs is where our priority lies as we plan our future projects.”
