Shirley Girard recently was employed by Brentwood Services Administrators Inc., headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., as a senior claim representative in the Raleigh, N.C., remote office, according to Jeff Pettus, president and chief executive officer of BSA.
In her position as senior claim representative, Girard is responsible for reviewing, processing and handling medical workers’ compensation claims as assigned by Mark Weaver, regional claim manager in the BSA Charlotte, N.C. office. Girard determines the compensability of the claim and extent of liability. She also communicates directly with clients, employers, injured workers, physicians and attorneys, and manages claims in a timely and economic manner.
Before becoming a part of the team at BSA, Girard was a worker’s comp claim adjuster with North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance in Raleigh. She holds a North Carolina claim adjuster license.
