President Obama has signed a disaster declaration for several counties that were hit hard by winter storms in February.
A statement from the White House says the declaration releases federal aid to help with recovery efforts from severe winter weather and flooding from Feb. 15-22.
That includes a devastating ice storm that took down trees and power lines and was blamed in at least 29 deaths.
Federal funding to help repair or replace damaged facilities is available in the following counties: Anderson, Bedford, Bledsoe, Blount, Campbell, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Fentress, Giles, Grainger, Grundy, Hamblen, Hancock, Hardeman, Jefferson, Knox, Lawrence, Loudon, Marshall, McMinn, McNairy, Meigs, Monroe, Moore, Morgan, Obion, Overton, Putnam, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Van Buren, Warren, and White.
