Inspectors have deemed a house unsafe after it was struck by a sports utility vehicle early on Christmas Day.
Bay News 9 reports homeowner Dorothy Ussery and her son are trying to focus on the positive, but they don’t know where they’ll end up living after the home is demolished Monday.
The crash happened about 3 a.m. on Dec. 25. in Dover, which is northeast of Tampa.
Ussery and her son Timothy were sleeping when they heard a loud noise.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say the SUV driver had a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle. He crashed into a vacant house next door and then plowed through the front of Ussery’s house.
Many of Ussery’s possessions were destroyed. She has no insurance and little savings.
