The Kentucky Division of Mine Safety is investigating an accident that left one person dead.
The Bell County coroner told WYMT-TV that 31-year-old Justin Mize of Harrogate, Tennessee, died after getting caught in a rock collapse at a high-wall mine site.
Bell County Emergency Management Director Ben Barnett said the accident occurred Tuesday at the Nally and Hamilton mine.
State and locals officials are investigating to determine what exactly happened.
